Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, DJ Kevin Lee developed a love for music early on while learning to play the piano and guitar. |
That passion for music later transitioned into mixing and re-inventing sounds to create an energetic and fresh blend for the dance floor. “My love for DJing grew out of a desire to create a space where people can share in my enthusiasm for music." Whether it's tribal, house, progressive, club anthems, or vocal/diva, his interest in dance music knows no bounds. Kevin’s inspiration stems from the likes of DJ greats Phil B, Rosabel (Abel and Ralphi Rosario), Micky Friedmann, Luis Erre, Mauro Mozart, Alexander, Paulo, Thiago Antony, Kaskade, Luke Johnstone, Tony Moran, Moto Blanco, Freemasons, Cahill, Scotty K and many more. And like them, his ultimate drive and greatest satisfaction is to “bring clubbers to the dance floor inspired to never want to leave."
DJ Kevin Lee (formerly DJ Kalelle) began his professional DJ career just over four years ago and like most DJs, he started out spinning at various house parties and small venues. In a very short period he has built up a loyal fan base and picked up several regular residencies at popular SF parties such as Club Dragon, Social Club, Thick, ShangriLa, Underworld, Adonis, and Scuba. His experience has landed him gigs at Club Eight, The Mix, LookOut, Lime, Space 550, and the world-renowned EndUp. He also spins at various launch parties such as Solis and the AsianMenRedefined Calendar release parties, and has the distinct honor of performing for the Asian Pacific Islander Stage each year during San Francisco's Gay Pride Festival.
